10 - 1.8 oz fresh strawberries, sliced
11 - 2 tablespoons roasted slivered almonds (optional)

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • It tastes like summer in a bowl, sweet and tangy without being heavy or overly rich.
  • You can make it in under half an hour with ingredients you probably already have.
  • Kids love it because it feels like breaking the rules, and adults love it because it actually tastes sophisticated.
  • It works as a light dessert, a snack, or even a quirky brunch dish when you want something memorable.
02 -
  • You must cool the pasta completely before adding the yogurt or it will separate and turn watery instead of creamy.
  • Mashing the strawberries instead of pureeing them gives you texture and little pockets of fruit that make every bite different.
  • If your strawberries are not very sweet, do not be shy with the sugar because the pasta will dilute the flavor.
03 -
  • Use a potato masher instead of a fork if you want a quicker, more even mash on the strawberries.
  • Rinse the pasta under cold water thoroughly so it does not clump together while it cools.
  • Toast the almonds yourself for a few minutes in a dry pan, it makes a huge difference in flavor and only takes three minutes.
